Early bonding may avert sexual abuse problems later
SALT LAKE CITY AP Fathers who actively hold feed and diaper their daughters in the first three years are less likely to sexually abuse them later, a University of Utah study finds. Researchers Seymour and Hilda Parker compare 54 incestuous abusive fathers with 5é control fathers from the same institutions, noting that time spent with daughters early in life is the key difference. The Parkers say therapy for at risk men before abuse could help, and biology does not predict abuse.
