Vandals Smash Brunswick High School Windows
More than ten plate glass windows at Brunswick High School were broken late Sunday night or Monday morning, forcing class cancellations. Principal Dale Gangaware said the damage was found at 4:50 a.m. by Brunswick Police and that the vandalism likely occurred between 10:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Waverley Fire Blamed on Faulty Appliance in Garden Apt
A Sunday night blaze at Waverley Gardens apartment 202 in building GG caused estimated $5,000 damage and sent three men to Frederick Memorial Hospital for smoke inhalation. Fire officials traced the cause to a faulty electrical appliance in the living room as residents returned after evacuation. four Frederick fire companies fought the flames. The injured were 23 year old Larry Pearrell, resident, and firemen Ray Massie and Robert Young. all were treated and released.
