Art Club Christmas Dinner Held in Frederic Hotel
The Frederic Art Club held its annual Christmas dinner Tuesday at the Hotel Frederick with about 100 members and guests. Grace Beard Young welcomed attendees and Dr. Andrew G. Truxal gave the Christmas benediction. Miss Matalie Colbert accompanied carol singing as Edith Miller was saluted for 23 years as corresponding secretary. William T. Delaplaine presented color slides from a Europe tour, highlighting art treasures and historic buildings, including Cologne and Milan cathedrals, Milan’s Last Supper mural, and St. Paul’s in London.

Union Bridge VFW Banquet Highlights Community Roles
The Union Bridge Veterans of Foreign Wars Post held its fifth annual banquet at the firemen's hall with Sherrill Cheeks singing and Gretchen Reese at the piano.
