The circular says the effort plans to organize in states nationwide and cites strong sentiment for Clark. The personnel includes Julius J. Binder chairman Philip Lewy vice chairman M I Crames secretary Michael H Tropauer treasurer. finance committee members Binder Arthur Lovey John Hodel Jr and J Davidson.
Washington December 13 Most of the Republican national committee members have arrived for the meeting to pick the time and place for the 1916 convention. Five cities Philadelphia Chicago St Louis San Francisco and Honolulu compete with no clear favorite. Indications point to a contest mainly between St Louis and Chicago with Philadelphia slightly behind.
Police led by Captain James T. Culliton raided John Stevenson’s Pennington Avenue residence in Trenton on December 13 and arrested thirteen men for playing poker for money. Officers seized a poker table cards chips and cash. Stevenson faced charges of running a disorderly house.
