Montgomery plans oppose indoor pool at Cabin John Park
Montgomery County Planning Board reaffirmed its unanimous stance against placing a regional indoor swim center in Cabin John Park. A stronger justification will be requested, with consideration urged for Walter Johnson High School land and the Corby Mansion site in Rockville, plus potential land swaps with other county properties. The move includes seeking a public hearing on Walter Johnson and Corby sites. The report also notes a Mount Airy Middle School Christmas program featuring bands, the sixth grade chorus, and solo flute performances on December 17.
