Collision at Square Corner Damages Two Vehicles
About 4.15 a m today a collision at the Square Corner caused damage exceeding 250 dollars to two vehicles with no injuries reported. A tractor diesel owned by Novick Transfer Company and driven by Arthur J. Shambaugh of Winchester Virginia traveled west on East Patrick street and struck a sedan driven by James C. Herstine of Beaver Falls Pennsylvania as it came south on Market. Herstine failed to observe the traffic signal according to a state patrol investigation and was charged with failing to obey an automatic traffic control device and booked for trial Friday.

Hartings full jail sentence was six months in the House of Correction but five months were suspended giving him a chance to look the place over. He was arrested October 8 at Glen Burnie by Sgt W M Boller of the Waterloo State Police. Trial had been postponed three times due to medical care.
