Car Dealers Guilty Of Price Fixing
Washington area car dealers group and 14 individuals pleaded guilty to conspiring to fix high prices for new cars and accessories. District Judge Joseph KR Jackson fined the Greater Washington Chevrolet Assn. Cooperative 152.00 and other firms from 1,000 to 5,000 dollars. Fines target a scheme to inflate prices and restrain competition, part of three indictments from a federal grand jury. A performance by forty male voices from Md St Mary's College Emontsburg directed by Rev David W Shaum last night at St John's High School auditorium began with Dona Nobis Pacem then offered Autumn Leaves Addie song from Madame Butterfly and Summertime. A Christmas theme finale featured Cantique De Noel and audience singalong. Proceeds benefit St John's Athletic Association.

Convicted of Forgery In Maryland Case
Melvin R. Blacker a former member of the State Industrial Accident Commission was convicted on two forgery counts by Criminal Court Judge Reuben imer. One charge involved forging a $4 promissory note in April 1957 with S H Greenberg as the signer and Blacker’s father in law. The second charge related to endorsement on a $15 500 note.
