YMCA Breaks Ground On Pool Expansion In Frederick County
The County YMCA advances a major expansion funded by Mission 92. YMCA president Ray Venema says the project unites city county state and donors to improve facilities for the disabled elderly youth and families. The plan includes a 3 to 4 foot depth pool with chairlift added lap time ADA compliant elevator corridor and childcare space. Executive director Richard Tokar notes membership surpassing 4 500 and aims to serve more people with special needs.
