Heart Program Shown Lions Club Meeting Highlights
The Frederick County Heart Association program at the Lions Club lunch featured Grace M Butcher as pilot, Edgar H McBride outlining the local organization, and a film by James Reid of the Legion. Dr James B Thomas discussed six common heart disease types and emphasized prevention and treatment progress, noting the President's health journey as evidence that many can live normally after a heart event. Additional notes covered upcoming Christmas events, a Snow Ball autograph session, and board plans to sponsor motorcycle races with $1000 reserved for expenses, plus school and hospital governance changes within the district.
