Brick Works To Show Public New Building
The Frederick Brick Works opens its new East South street building with a public show this evening and Thursday afternoon and evening. Experts from Johns Manville, Du Pont, U S Gypsum, Vermiculite, Reardon, Louden and the Brick Works staff will demonstrate materials, insulation, fireproofing and barn equipment from 7 to 9:30 p m tonight and 1 to 9 p m Thursday. Visitors receive English holly corsages.

Deer hunter burned clothes to stay warm in rescue
Oakland dispatch reports 26 year old Baltimorean Jack Mayles was found along a Friendsville trail after spending a day and night wandering in Western Maryland mountains. A Garrett County deputy sheriff led a rescue party that retrieved him near noon. he was cold and hungry but appears well.
