Auto Wreck Kills Gettysburg College Student Near Hagerstown

A car on Greencastle Pike near Hagerstown failed to turn, killing Samuel Roberts Serena of Sissen Island Minnesota a Gettysburg College student, and injuring five others. Richard Bowls escaped the crash with two fractured ribs while Ray Gladhill sustained a cut eye and head bruises. Other occupants from Philadelphia Baltimore and Monessen were injured or unharmed. Funeral services for Serena were slated at 2 pm in Hagerstown after the Washington County Hospital treated the injured.

Philip Hill Sued Over Daughters Education Fees

Washington Pec March 6 AP John Philip Hill Republican gubernatorial hopeful for Maryland was sued in the District Supreme Court for 2663 by Hotton Arms School alleging he failed to pay tuition for his three daughters who enrolled in February 1931. Two daughters have attended all terms to date and the third until last June. Hill announced his candidacy several months ago.

Income From Liquor Law Reaches 44814 In Annapolis

Annapolis reports 44814.01 income to date from liquor law as licenses and excise stamps rack up. State Comptroller notes 10 manufacturers and eight wholesalers paid fees totaling 7299.54. Licenses issued for four months and 26 days run to April 30, 1934, with future full licenses priced at 2000.

Young Men's Bible Society Plans Annual Meeting

George M. Robinson Dead at 72 in Frederick County

George Michael Robinson longtime postmaster and agent of the Western Maryland Railroad at Less Sission died at home Tuesday night after a two month illness due to heart trouble. He was 72 and survived by his widow Bele Mumma Robinson, two sisters and a son Luther, with services at St. Lutheran church followed by interment at Creagerstown cemetery. Wreck at Cherry Hill Kills Two on Passenger Train

A northbound Richmond Fredericksburg and Potomac passenger train plowed into the derailed southbound freight after a landslide at Cherry Hill, 25 miles north of Fredericksburg. Two engineers died, fireman also lost, several passengers injured, service halted between Richmond and Washington.

Baltimore sports writer Frank Patterson dies at 69

Frank Prierre Patterson longtime Sun and Evening Sun writer dies of heart disease in Baltimore at 69.
