Legislation Expands Veterans Benefits and Health Care
President Reagan signs the Veterans Benefits Improvement and Health Care Authorization Act broadening aid for service connected disabilities, home health care, and survivor benefits. It extends VA grants for state veterans homes, adds special housing grants, and creates a radiation exposure registry while modernizing gender language. protections for employers with Guards and Reserve members are expanded.

Carroll Community College announces HEA 141 a two credit First Aid and Safety course with a lab and Red Cross Certification upon successful completion.
