Berlin reports circulating Dec 5 claim that a four nation entente including the United States England France and Japan is being developed. Babe Ruth and teammates Piercy and Meusel were suspended by Commissioner Landis for participating in a post season barnstorming trip. Ruth faces a May 20 1923 reinstatement option after a year away from baseball, with the 1922 season delayed. The trip from New York City to New York State violated organized baseball rules, and the players were barred from play until reintegration.
Report from December states talks among United States, Great Britain, Japan, and possibly an alliance substitute may delay Japan's decision on naval tonnage.
