Army Scrutinizes Fort Meade Officer Remarks
Fort Meade garrison commander Col Robert Morris I is under investigation after an anonymous letter to the Defense Department and The Baltimore Sun alleged he told crude sexual stories about Army nurses during civilian briefings. The letter, from a concerned soldier, cites August theater meetings and September officers club events. Morris commands about 300 soldiers and 20 units at Fort Meade amid 5,000 civilian workers, with NSA personnel on base under a separate command.
