Frederick County fish and game association plans law amendments
At a large Frederick County Fish and Game Association meeting presided by James C. Stowe, members voted to amend the game law to create a statewide anglers license and to allow nine months of dip-nets for fishing. A partridge season is to be established, with a committee to draft a new bird law for the Legislature. The group discussed law violations, sawdust pollution in streams, and open enforcement by Game Warden Louis C. Etchison, who reported fishpots along the Potomac. Secretary Levy noted 963,536 fish stocked in county streams last year, and the drive to boost membership to 500.
