Wayside TV Owners Joke On Turnaround Fee In Bridge Work

Frank and Gene Young of Wayside TV on East Patrick Street joke about charging 30 cents per car turning around in their lot during the Carroll Creek Bridge construction. The bridge is closed for flood control work and the family notes the orange sign near the bridge brings curious motorists to their parking lot as they await the project completion. Their history traces to founder F Russell Young and land once owned by Elmer Dixon, with the inn becoming Wayside Apartments. They plan to endure the months of detoured traffic rather than relocate.
