Bookstore sues city over porn raid in federal trial
Frederick City and the Bradley Bookstore owner Pinkley Inc. argued in a two day federal civil rights trial over the 1990 raid by Cpl. Servacek. The store seeks damages and return of seized cash and equipment while contending First Amendment rights were violated. The city maintains the seized materials violated state obscenity laws and notes the case belongs in state court. The judge will rule after further findings by December 10.
