Boyle In Korea By Barbara Brinfs For Hal Boyle
A war front vignette follows GI Joe and fellow infantrymen as they move forward in North Korea. Joe, recalling Florida memories, describes alligators and snakes, shares thoughts on home life and the 4 H rabbit story, and seeks connection as night settles and plans form for an early move at dawn. The piece emphasizes loneliness and the pull of home amid frontline chatter.
