Fire and Rescue Group to Vote on Executive Powers
The Frederick County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association will vote next month on a resolution to grant limited powers to an executive committee. A July vote on the constitution left the body in limbo, with debate over member input and decision making. Janet McCurdy advised presenting changes for a block vote, while Hartwood Cornell Jr. says the measure would require reports to the full membership at bi monthly meetings and would be a temporary remedy until the annual meeting in July.
