Debated Revolutionary War Burials in Frederick County Lists
A local genealogist notes wide disagreement over which burials in Frederick County actually belong to Revolutionary War veterans. The News-Post lists veterans per the Frederick DAR, while Susanne Files Twentey submits a rival list with many discrepancies. She argues many names are misidentified or not veterans, and adds corrections for numerous graves across Mt. Olivet Emmitsburg Clemsonville Thurmont Walkersville and other sites, while excluding individuals she deems not soldiers. 28th State Texas statehood reference appears in the same issue.
