Committee to Explore Funding for Frederick County Projects
Frederick County commissioners approved forming an ad hoc citizens committee to study funding methods for capital improvements. The group will examine impact fees, adequate facilities ordinances, lease purchases, debt versus pay as you go, and possibly special taxing districts, with a report due for fiscal year 1989. Members will come from chamber of commerce, county council of governments, builders, education, realtors, finance, a citizen at large, and the Economic and Community Development Commission which will chair.
