Fire Conditions Heavy in County Warn Warden Says
Frederick County faces very bad fire conditions as woods remain extremely dry said Forest Warden Herman D. Toms. A small fire near Knoxville smoldered underground for days and could not be fully extinguished. The area last saw substantial rain on August 3 totaling 1.34 inches. more showers possible tonight with highs in the mid 80s and northwest winds 8 to 18 mph.
