Injured In Accident In Frederick County On Masser Road
A 22 year old woman, Joan Herrell of Frederick Route 3, escaped serious injury when her car slid on a rain slick Masser Road and hit a ditch between a bridge abutment and a farm fence. She was treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital and released. Estimated damage to her 1953 Pontiac was 250 dollars. Separately, Carroll County resident Robert E. Holzople, 43, of Union Bridge Route 3, suffered minor injuries when his 1961 Ford overturned on Maryland 75 near Johnsville after losing control while approaching an intersection. He was treated and released. Trooper Barnes charged Holzople with reckless driving.

Youth To Attend Brotherhood Youth Conference
More than 100 high school students from four states and teen representatives from foreign embassies will attend the first Maryland Brotherhood Youth Conference at Woodbine from August 27 to September 1. The event opens with a keynote by Dr. James M. Eagan and features panels on understanding different religions, an illustrated travelogue on Guatemala, and a staff of 18 educators and civic leaders. The six day program aims to teach leadership and human relations in a diverse democratic society.

A Maryland based student committee organized the Brotherhood Camp with guidance from the National Conference of Christians and Jews. In Frederick four motorists were convicted in a Magistrate's Court session, including Ullrich for following too closely and Runkles for speeding, with fines ranging from 5 to 15 dollars plus costs. Additional cases included Whealton Jr for crossing a solid white line and Antin for driving on an expired chauffeur license. A Jehovah's Witnesses three day seminar drew over 500 attendees at the Frederick Fairgrounds with talks on Bible prophecy and model ministry demonstrations.
