In Baltimore authorities quote Mrs Bun nie Rosenbloom admitting knowledge of her husband Samuel J Rosenbloom’s murder by son Alexander and the trunk concealment in the family home cellar. Daughter Eva, sixteen, also admits awareness of the crime and concealment in the cellar.
Testimony reveals a complex plot to kill Rosenbloom and claim life insurance while four suspects including Alexander Egler and two Eglers face extradition issues. Mrs. Rosenbloom and daughter admit knowledge of the body being hidden but deny direct involvement. police doubt their claims and pursue alleged plan to seize the store.
Richard Kennedy, an eight year old Pennsyl vania railroad engineer, died in burying ground after heartache from his son Leo’s death from scarlet fever. Doctors failed to ease his grief and he died last Friday.
In Dexter Massachusetts on August 26 John Horton left the altar during a revival in a gospel tent near town and fatally stabbed Oscar Leathers before returning to join the congregation in prayer as Rev E C Butler continued the service.
Middletown Ohio Aug 26 Vordt G P Earle arrest at home near Monroe on an assault to second degree charge. The complaintant is Mrs Ines Barry aunt of Mrs Earle. Earle pleads guilty to the charge and awaits grand jury action in October. He is jailed at Goghen. Mrs Earle and child leave for Central Valley.

Allen Winter wins the Readville $30,008 handicap in a novel race where horses started at various marked distances behind the usual line. McDonald drove Winter to a narrow victory over Sweet Marie and others as 20,000 spectators watched the daylong event at Readville Mass on August 26.
