Mount Airy aids flood victims and adopts Alexandria
Mount Airy Mayor Gerald Dobnson traveled to Alexandria Missouri last weekend delivering 5000 dollars for flood victims. The Mount Airy Food Relief Committee collected the funds from local residents to aid families and businesses devastated by flooding along the Des Moines and Mississippi rivers. Alexandria residents work in Mississippi river plants now underwater. Volunteers plan further relief including a walkathon and a February benefit dance.
