Frederick County Sports Hall of Fame planned by Falk
Frederick LOU FALK is launching a county sports hall of fame project in Frederick County. The plan, to be hosted by the Frederick County YMCA, aims to honor local athletes with a banquet and a wall plaque rather than a large museum. Falk seeks a committee and chairman, then will begin outreach.

Frederick hall of fame idea honors local athletes annually
Falk envisions a yearly region wide hall of fame with a ballot inviting nominations and inducting about nine athletes from various sports. Inductees would receive a wall plaque at the YMCA and be honored at a winter banquet with travel and hotel support for some honorees. The project would cost 600 to 900 dollars, funded by tickets and patron ads, and needs local coordination.
