Runaway Tire Causes Auto Crash On Harper's Ferry Road
A five passenger Dodge touring car carrying Maryland and District of Columbia markers ran into a ditch and overturned on the Harper's Ferry road near Jefferson at about 11 15 in the morning. Occupants, all Washington residents, were not injured. A large eight passenger Winton with Maryland markers carrying a party from Baltimore to Leesburg avoided collision when its tire crossed the road path, but the Dodge driver steered into the ditch to avert a crash. Winton continued, Dodge towed to Culler Wise service station. damage undetermined.

Red Men Hold Pow Wow at Emmitsburg Grounds
