Adventists break ground for Frederick church and school
Frederick Seventh day Adventist Church members broke ground for a new sanctuary and school on 17 acres at Md. 180 and U.S. 340 I-70, after last year’s fire that damaged the old building. The project, expected to finish by fall 1995, marks a hopeful turnaround praised by Mayor Jim Grimes and Chesapeake Conference leader Wayne Coulter. The ceremony featured umbrellas, donated notes from residents, and a message that good can come from adversity.
