Six Hurt In Wet Road Mishaps From Frederick To Baltimore
Six persons were injured early today in accidents on wet roads from Frederick to Baltimore in Howard and Carroll counties. A 58-year-old Walkersville woman, Ruth Keeney, was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital after a crash that left her with a broken right arm facial cuts and a partially fractured skull. A Baltimore passenger in the same pile up had a bruised knee. Trooper B C Hammersmith described the chain reaction on Route 40 near Poplar Springs as a Dodge rear ended a brick truck, then a Ford pickup braked and another car struck it, causing further damage to several vehicles with total losses ranging from $125 to $500. Only Mrs Keeney was seriously hurt. drivers escaped injury. Four Carroll county collisions at Eldersburg's Routes 26 and 32 left four people slightly hurt all occupants of the Damm car. Charges of reckless driving were filed against both operators. A separate wreck near Middletown on Route 40 involved a linen truck overturning. no injuries were reported.

Burma Surgeon Seagrave Arrested in Rangoon
