Summers Clan Reunion Highlights 51st gathering
The 51st Summers descendants reunion was held July 25 at Woodsboro Community Park with about 90 attendees. Sam Summers welcomed guests. Lois Summers led the blessing. a buffet lunch, ice cream, and popsicles were served. Prizes honored long marriages, youngest participants, and others, with many Summers and Hooper family members listed among attendees.

Duree joins Hood music staff at Hood College concert
Baltimore musician David Duree joins Hood College music department faculty after a career as principal clarinet of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and a wind chair at the US Naval Academy Band. He will perform with faculty on Sunday September 12 at 2 p.m. in Brodbeck Music Hall. admission is free. Nancy Beith returns to Hood’s preparatory division, which offers instruction in multiple instruments and Kindermusik for ages 4 5.
