Two charged with arson in historic Frederick mansion fire
Four people were arrested after a Sunday dawn blaze leveled a three story Frederick mansion off Himes Avenue near Butterfly Lane. David Harley 21 and Timothy Flanigan 22 both of Frederick were charged with arson. Bail set at 20000 and 30000 respectively. Two teens detained by police were released to parents and will face juvenile services. The vacant historic house built in the early 1800s and once part of the Himes estate burned after vandals had been active nearby. Authorities credited tips from residents and police with advancing the investigation.
