Urbana rezoning requests dominate Frederick County meeting
Daniel Smith of Urbana sought a B-2 rezoning on Md 80 for a two acre site to support a 75 to 100 seat restaurant run by his wife. Planner Wirgan opposed the move citing no demand for commercial area and urged disapproval. Other sessions covered Buckeystown industrial land rezoning and nursing home area conversions with approval for a Valley View Nursing Home expansion and multiple residential plans along US 15 and US 40.
