Carroll Co Board Rebids Insurance Amid Health Life Bid Debate
At a Westminster meeting nineteen insurance brokers discussed a rebid for term life and health coverage for Carroll County teachers. The board will rebid to accept either the lowest package or two lowest bids, with a 90 day interim coverage proposed by Equitable Life. The move follows Equitable’s warning that life premiums could drop if their health policy is renewed, potentially saving about 28900 dollars. The board stressed legal rights to reject low bids while awaiting uniform bid terms.
