Stolen Car Case Yields Heavy Fines In Court
Noel E Fish, a Monrovia resident with Indiana ties, was fined 50 and one year in the House of Correction for occupying a stolen automobile. He also paid 10 and costs or three more days for operating without a license. The wrecked car belonged to Russell Bury of Unionville and was stolen August 2, later found badly damaged on the Jamaville-Centreville road. An investigation led by Sheriff Crum and State Officer Albert Anderson traced the theft to Fish, who claimed another untamed man used the car. The magistrate warned Fish to verify ownership before riding in any vehicle.
