City tolay more curbs and gutters plans grow
City officials discussed street repairs at the regular meeting. Bids awarded for 2609 feet of curb and gutter on West South Street to Roy Nust and Son at 67 cents per foot with completion in 20 days. A concrete street may be laid in Chapel Alley between Fourth and Fifth streets and curb work considered on East Seventh Street opposite the Frederick Iron and Steel plant.

She suffered a severe bruise around the right eye and minor facial and body bruises but no broken bones. The child was taken to Frederick City Hospital, where doctors said she was lucky to survive.
