Rotorex locks out 440 workers as talks collapse
A Rotorex lockout left 440 union workers jobless after contract talks with Local 133 of the International Union of Electronic, Electrical, Salaried, Machine and Furniture Workers failed. Pickets gathered outside the Walkersville plant as deputies watched amid tensions over subcontracting and contract language. The union demanded to keep members working on compressor production while Rotorex sought broad subcontracting rights.
