Car chase ends in teen’s death in Montgomery County
A 15 year old Wheaton girl, Phannadee Pitthayasri, died Thursday when a fleeing car overturned several times after a Wheaton district officer attempted a stop on Georgia Avenue near Tilton Drive. Three other teenagers in the car survived and were taken into custody for multiple offenses. The investigation continues.

City man arrested for drugs in Frederick complex
Dwayne Martin, 20, of North Market Street, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine after an undercover sting at the Sagner apartments. Officers chased him on foot before arrest. He is held in Frederick County jail on $30,000 bail.

Motorcyclist Injured When Car Fails to Yield in Alley
Robert Wayne Dinterman a 31 year old from Hagerstown was riding on Maple Avenue when Brenda Suter Zell 40 of Walkersville halted in an alley and pulled out without yielding. Dinterman laid down his bike but slid under the car and suffered injuries. He was treated and released from Frederick Memorial Hospital. Zell was charged with failure to yield right of way.

Two Middletown men were arrested after a suspected drug transaction at Tullys bar in Frederick. John Michael Cook 25 of Boileau Court faces marijuana possession distribution and distribution charges. Anthony Eugene Haines 22 of Morningside Court is charged with marijuana possession and paraphernalia. Officer Robert Buchanan seized marijuana packets and a pipe during the 1:30 am stop. Bond hearings were scheduled for this morning.
