Jail design problems resolved in Frederick County plan
Frederick County officials report key design issues for the new 106 bed jail have been addressed after a state review. The Aug 5 meeting with the Department of General Services planning and corrections led to a commitment to revise architectural and schematic drawings. If CARC funding is dropped, officials may add 40 beds. A gubernatorial task force report is due in September.
