Flying Ultralight Recounts A Nervy Liberty Town Flight
In Liberty Town I recall my first ultralight flight as a disaster and later a calmer return. The craft, though not an ultralight by strict rules, felt similar with a two seat cabin. Darkness fell and US 15 closed as fire and rescue prepared for a fatality. I rode with Captain Kilpatrick who assessed me for nerves while I stayed calm, promising a future report on piloting.
