Swahili course aims to broaden Frederick students view
Teaching Swahili continues with Mr Melinde guiding a non pre written course. He notes Africa's family culture and connection to nature while balancing materialism in the United States. A second TJ High class failed to attract enough interest, though survey support exists for future expansion and an advanced course is planned for 1994 1995.

Skills on display at Frederick sportsman show
Seventy two year old Stacy Groscup lectured on patriotism and American Indians under a hot noon sun at the Call of the Wild Sportsman Third Hunting and Fishing Benefit at the Frederick Fairgrounds. He shot aspirin with a bow and arrows, claimed Guinness records, and discussed hunting as a family-friendly tradition backed by the organizers who aim to keep hunting and fishing respected for the next generation.
