Easton Pa Aug 16 The Edison Cement Company plant at New Village New Jersey will be completely remodeled and operated on a new scale by next spring. Thomas A Bilson, a chief owner, has conducted experiments on new systems of manufacture to be implemented when possible. Currently only one department burns limestone for fertilizer. A large remodeling force will overhaul conveyors and other systems to run cement by the new process next season.
In Luray Virginia on August 16, 6 year old boy handling a gun led to a fatal shooting of his sister. David Smelser had told his wife to put the gun away but she did not. The children were left unattended when the weapon discharged.
