Sportsmen Show draws 100 vendors at Frederick Fairgrounds
About 6,000 attended the fifth annual Sportsman Show, hosted by Call of the Wild Sportsmen Inc. More than 100 vendors set up stands over the two days. The event raised 5,000 in admission funds for five charities including the Maryland Sheriff's Youth Ranch and Children's Inn. NRA displayed the Great American Whitetail Collection with 26 heads. The Maryland Wildlife Division discussed whitetail deer and deer management with an estimated 200,000 deer in Maryland and 50,000 killed in 1994-95.
