A reader quiz on wedding manners indicates guests should avoid public fussing of the couple. White or ivory invitations are acceptable. The bride wears no engagement ring during the ceremony, often keeping it on the right hand or at home. A divorcee may have attendants in a subsequent marriage, and sending best wishes by telegram is debated. When a distant guest is invited, options include sending a gift to the couple or waiting until the bride relocates, with caution about propriety.
