Bargaining between Eastalco Aluminum Co and Local 7886 of the United Steelworkers resumed after a Friday meeting at Betty's Restaurant Frederick. The 12 day old strike keeps 680 workers off the job since Aug 1. Union president Don Forcino said no decisions were made and both sides would return to the table. Eastalco said progress was limited and that they took a dimmer view of the day’s talks. A court extended an injunction to curb picketing at Buckeystown, delaying further actions.
