Armeda Doneary of York sustained a sprained knee and shock in a Route 75 collision with a 1941 Buick driven by George Tressler. Doneary’s 1937 Dodge was demolished. A third incident near Worman's Mill involved five cars in two rear end crashes on Route 15 and Route 26, with damages ranging from 50 to 300 dollars. no injuries or charges were reported.

Five Deaths On Maryland Roads Sunday
The weekend toll in Maryland highways reached five dead and two seriously injured. Ewald Bitner of Baltimore and his six year old son Raymond died in St Joseph's Hospital after a crash on Harford Road near Joppa Road. The Bitners were in a car that hit a parked vehicle then collided with a truck driven by Clarence E Asquith of Butler who suffered serious injuries. Bitner's wife Anna and their six month old daughter Ingrid had less serious injuries. George Wedra J of Baltimore was hospitalized with serious injuries. Route 50 near Willards saw Levin T Pusey aged 78 killed while walking. Nelson E Brown 44 of Salisbury, driving the car that struck Pusey, faced charges of checkless driving. In a separate accident on Route 22 near Rawlings, 5 year old William A Roby died after his car struck him. Charles S Goins of Detroit, driving the other car, was not charged. The fifth victim was Gordon Brittingham, 17, of Baltimore, killed when his car rolled over on Furnace Branch Road near Old Annapolis Road in Anne Arundel County.
