Five Bombs Explode In Sou Pacific Yards
Five bombs exploded in the yard of the Southern Pacific and Pacific Fruit and Express Co in Rosenilie California. One blast hit the rear of a roundhouse damaging walls and windows. Three blasts opened a large ditch on the east side near the Pacific Fruit Express plant. Guards fired toward the source while a U.S. marshal was shot.

Harding Drops Plan To Seek Legislation On Strike Settlement

Two Hurt When Auto overturns on Hagerstown Pike
A Dodge touring car with Ohio plates overturned on the Hagerstown pike between 8:30 and 9 am, causing two passengers Trueman Casteel and Mrs. Mary Glanders of Oakland to be hospitalized with bruises and a fractured rib. The vehicle skidded on a slight incline, rolled down a bank, and sustained heavy damage including a smashed top and broken steering wheel.

No Trace Of Man Who Hit Deputy
No word had been received here of the apprehension of W. H. Long a spectacle vendor who assaulted Deputy Sheriff Albert Adelsberger of Emmitsburg yesterday during an attempt to levy on Longs machine for a debt. Last seen heading toward the Taney town road and then Baltimore. He left the city after the assault, and nothing more has been seen of him. In Emmitsburg he did not have a regular boarding place, staying in his automobile after meals at a restaurant. He carried an automatic revolver and kept a Winchester rifle in the rear of his car.
