Commissioners approve design change to save money on landfill project
Frederick County commissioners approved a design change for the second landfill to save about 1 million dollars but face an $11,443 redraw cost for Site B. The move raises hourly consulting fees up to 131 dollars for supervision plus 120 for a senior electrical engineer and 86 to 43 dollars for various engineers and staff. Public Works Director Bob Hayes cited high rates to cover overhead and services.
