Urge Repeal of Wheat Price By Senate Panel
Aug 9 special meeting of the Senate agriculture committee pressed repeal of the wheat price guarantee. Senator Norris and Rep Atkeson argued the $2.28 minimum has become the maximum, benefiting middlemen and the grain corporations while farmers receive about $1.50 per bushel.
