Lenox Mass August 11 Andrew Carnegie died this morning from bronchial pneumonia. He had been ill three days with his wife and secretary beside him. His daughter, Mrs Rarewell Miller, could not reach him. He leaves his widow Louise Whitefield and a daughter Margaret married to Ensign Rosewell Miller. Carnegie funded libraries and millions in philanthropy, spending summers at Shadow Brook Lake Mahkenac estate.
