Russians Take Tlumach and 2000 Germans in Galicia Victory
Russian forces report driving Austro German troops back along a 15 mile front south of the Dniester, capturing the town of Tlumach and the eastern Dniester region. A gallant division reportedly took 2000 German prisoners and seized heavy guns and machine guns as cavalry pursued the retreating enemy toward Kolomea Stanislaus rail line. Prisoner numbers from Sereth corridor battles cited as 166 officers and 8415 men.
